Samsung Galaxy Tab (T-Mobile)
four.3 Out Of 5 Stars (77 Customer Reviews)
Reviews for Samsung Galaxy Tab (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone Accessory) Review update: Initially my perception was once that Samsung has crippled this device, but if actuality be told it has been finished by Verizon. The Verizon website provide an evidence fors that NONE of their cellular tools embodys the flexibility to use a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse. Moreover, the T-Mobile variation has been mentioned to work nice with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I also in short tested a Sprint variation with a Bluetooth mouse, and it seems as if it should work -- there was a menu option to join to the mouse and use it as a HID (human input device), an possibility that's now not even on hand on the Verizon model. I was oncen't truly ready to hook up with the mouse, however it is conceivable that it was once a mouse incompatibility difficulty (it's a Targus N2953), or my batteries were too low.
Reviews for Samsung Galaxy Tab (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone Accessory) As a present iPad owner who additionally makes use of the Droid X, I should say that after spending 15 minutes with this thing I absolutely love it. The measurement is incredible in that its a signifcantly superior viewing experience over the 4.3 inch Droid X screen (which can be great) and it's easy to hold with one hand and navigate with the other - an brought bonus is that it additionally fits in a suit coat pocket.
The Microsoft Exchange integration with e mail/calendar/contacts is appearless and permits for nearly the entire functionality provided by approach of a laptop. One of the downsides of the iPad is its poor integration with Outlook (couldn't delete, move e mails whereas one a airplane working offline - now not a problem with the Tab).
Reviews for Samsung Galaxy Tab (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone Accessory) I ran out and bought the Galaxy Tab from T-Mobile the first day it was launched. I really have been using it to keep in minds and foreheadse on the Kindle app on account that. I have a Droid X, which stuffed the necessity until the Galaxy Tab was released, but it is so a lot more uncomplicated now with a 7 inch monitor. The Galaxy Tab is mainly the dimensions of three Droid X monitors, so so much easier to kind and to learn.
I haven't discovered any apps developed for the Galaxy Tab namely, but most android apps I use seem to work adequate or even better on the better type issue. I am hoping, identical to some builders have built apps only for the iPad, that soon apps will come out constructed to profit from the extra monitor measurement.
It matchs well in my hand, but with the case it does no longer slot in my pocket. I also find that even in panorama mode that I can't actually kind with both arms. I hear there's an possibilityal qwerty keyboard which you could purchase, however I even haven't gone that route yet.
I have examined out the use of Skype as a cellphone and it seems to work effective - at least when calling people in the United States.

Toshiba Thrive 10.1-Inch 16 GB Android Tablet AT105-T1016
4.1 Out Of 5 Stars (463 Customer Reviews)
Reviews for Toshiba Thrive 10.1-Inch sixteen GB Android Tablet AT105-T1016 I bought two 16gb pills from an area retailer the previous day. First let me say this pill is not good but I am am very pleased. It is like having a large good cellphone. I love my sensible phone! My husband used to be in a position to get most of his apps installed, however some of mine are not on hand for the tablet yet. I am in a position to make use of my cloud service and get entry to a number of of my paid apps (spreadsheets, word doctors, etc). The widgets & apps which would possibly be lacking from the market are not a topic as a outcome of I can get proper of entry to these items on-line (banking, non-public finance site). I am optimistic that the android community will treatment this ultimately. I am a techie and I adore it.
The interface is flawless & easy, saved pictures look actually just right (even when zoomed in), wi-fi connection very good (no connection considerations).
Reviews for Toshiba Thrive 10.1-Inch 8 GB Android Tablet AT105-T108 (Personal Computers) I've had the 16gb Thrive for 3 days now. The Thrive is in my opinion the best tablet on hand. The skinnygs that set it apart from different tablets are: Removable battery, Full size HDMI port, Full size USB 2.0 port as smartly as a mini USB port. All on board with no dock or adapters important. You can take your SD card proper out of your digital got herera and plug it in to the Thrive ( Handles as a lot as 128 GB SDXC, what?!!) . Toshiba was once good enough to include a file supervisor that makes it super easy to maneuver information or media between the pill and SD card or exterior arduous force, and many others. Running Honeycomb 3.1 proper out of the box as smartly. The wifi is the most effective I have considered, better than any software in my home and I really have a lot. Tethers to my Android telephone without a downside. The audio is one of the best I really have heard on a pill.Toshiba worked with SRS and it displays. (One now note, the default volume levels are low. Go into environments and adjust proper away) The monitor is healthier than the Xoom however not fairly as good because the Samsung (in my opinion) and it seems to do better with higher quality and higher resolution content. Looks extraordinary when viewing photos from my Canon Digital with an L lens. Color accuracy is tremendousb, not just oversaturated like some other pills. The screen response is great. Ran a multitouch test and it acknowledges four separate touch factors concurrently. 2mp entrance camera and 5 MP back digicam are each superb with good lights. All in all this pill offers more interoperabilty than the rest available on the market. It charges in level of fact fast, 90% in ninety minutes. Very, very happy with my resolution to head with the Thrive. I had regarded as the Asus but with the horrific construct quality issues and lightbleed I determined once extrast it. I am so happy I waited because Toshiba acquired it right, right out of the box! This skinnyg is solid! No creaking or flex. No bathroom loose bezel. Zero lightbleed. A tablet is the sum of all its sections and in the words of Charlie Sheen, #Winning!
Update: 14 hrs lately on the battery with reasonably heavy browsing and some tune and video. The battery gave me 6-7 hrs the first few costs.
Reviews for Toshiba Thrive 10.1-Inch 8 GB Android Tablet AT105-T108 (Personal Computers) UPDATE 7 Now Up: See the addendum at the end of this overview.
I pre-ordered the three2gb Thrive right here on Amazon, but got impatient and went to an area retailer simply to check them out. We cherished this tab so a lot, we got a 2nd for my husband in sixteengb.
Toshiba Brand
First off -- No -- I don't work for Toshiba. But I fell in love with the model a bit over a year in the past after I bought a new Qosmio laptop, and it can be BY FAR the good pc I even have ever owned. I love it as much these days as the day I got it, so once I found out Toshiba had an Android Tab, I needed to take a serious look.
Galaxy & Iconia in Brief
Prior to learning about Thrive, I was once critically taking into consideration the new 10" Galaxy Tab. I had been coveting the eight" model for a while, but just used to ben't ready to take the soar. So when the 10" got here alongside, I just needed to stop by way of a neighborhood retailer to check out one out hands-on. And I must say, I in reality fell in love with it -- the reveal is vivid and stunning, the interface is clean and responsive. And it's super skinny needless to say. But, the first skinnyg I now noticed used to be there is no longer any inputs of any kind; no SD slot, no USB, no nada. The gross sales rep stated which is as a result of the whole thing is trending towards the "cloud.

ViewSonic gTablet with 10" Multi-Touch LCD Screen, Android OS 2.2
three.7 Out Of 5 Stars (533 Customer Reviews)
Reviews for ViewSonic gTablet with 10" Multi-Touch LCD Screen, Android OS 2.2 (Personal Computers) So after I spent a few days exploring my new Viewsonic G pill, I felt like I had to write a assessment and let everyone know how cool this tool is:
I did my dwellingwork and researched the G tablet completely prior to I determined to buy one. I read heaps of evaluates on more than a few websites sooner than I ultimately decided to go for it (over an iPad) for the following reasons:
1. Price!
2. Super quick Hardware (Tegra2 course ofor)
3. USB Port
4. SD card slot for added storage
5. No need for a sync software!
6. Access to the file system
7. Customizable laptop (live wallpaper, widgets, icons..etc)
8. The availability of custom firmwares (XDA-developers)
Note: I ended up NOT installing a custom firmware, I am lovely comfortable with the most recent replace from Viewsonic, which is a must have!!
The pill was once a horrible expertise out of the box. No subject what I did, the whole lot appeared to simply crash!! Then I acquired the Update notification as soon as I connected my G Tablet to my house WiFi. After the obtain was achieved, the update put in and the device rebooted. I ultimately went in the direction of the setup course of (create a new profile..etc) and Voila. Let me tell you, The replace is beautiful damn steady and appears to boost efficiency considerably.
The newest update from Viewsonic permits you to choose from the crappy TapNTap interface and the standard Android 2.2 interface.
Flash: I bought Flash working by merely downloading a Flash .apk (Android application) to be had on Viewsonic's website online. YouTube never regarded better!!
USB: I examined the USB port by way of joining a thumb power. The drive was once known without problems. Got a tight knowledge switch price (~3 Mbps). I also connected a physical USB keyboard. The G Tablet known it nearly straight away.
SD card slot: I also examined the SD card slot with a four GB SD card. no problems there! I love copying media recordsdata over to my G Tablet by using merely dragging them from my PC and losing them on my G Tablet!! Good Bye iTunes!!
Bluetooth: I was able to pair my G Tablet with my Bluetooth headphones. Also, I was ready to get Google Maps to join to an previous Bluetooth GPS receiver I had bought a couple of yrs ago (you will want an app known as BlueGPS for this).
WiFi: Connected to my residence WiFi without issues.
Webcam: The built-in webcam is excellent enough, is almost certainly now not the best but it is just right enough for me (1.3 MP).
Screen: The contact display is beautiful responsive.
Reviews for ViewSonic gTablet with 10" Multi-Touch LCD Screen, Android OS 2.2 (Personal Computers) I personal a G Tablet. I like my G Tablet. Let me let you be mindful of why no-one is raving about the G Tablet.
The digitals exceed the iPad at time of writing. The kind factor is no lengthyerhing to jot down dwelling about. The viewing perspectives on the monitor are sub-par, which is surprising given the software's provenance. The Tap n' Tap person interface is a disaster. I say again, a disaster. Slow, inelegant, and inadequate.
There is excellent news. First, the fee is right. It may also be had for as little as $380.00, a far cry from its rivals. Second, the user interface can be changed. There are communities of particular persons (XDA), who have very graciously put their laborious work and skill into producing alternative ROMs for this software which override the prevailing software with one thing that is much nearer to the usual Android OS and that interfaces accurately with the Android App Market. It is DIY, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-dig-into-it work to install a model new ROM and get it running properly. Even then there will almost certainly be charming malicious programs to fix. Expect this to develop into a minor hobby.
In conclusion, the G Tablet is a conditionally five-star software. It is less expensive, the exhaustingware is completely strong, and a technically thoughtsed particular person who is willing to spend some time tinkering with it will almost definitely flip it into an awfully useful gizmo.
If you are Viewsonic, or work for Viewsonic, or know anyone who's cousin may work at Viewsonic, then please inform them; ditch Tap n' Tap as quickly as humanly that that you may think of.
Reviews for ViewSonic gTablet with 10" Multi-Touch LCD Screen, Android OS 2.2 (Personal Computers) After mulling over the Archos 101 back in October, and an growing quantity of pissed off with their extends, I found this gem in my native SEARS. It has a Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset, which you are going to more than seemingly be hearing about an growing quantity of in 2011. A in reality good tool total, however it is not without its faults which I will summarize. First, the hardware....
Hardware Pros:
- Tegra 2 chipset dual-core with 512MB RAM. Bleeding aspect hardware, so so much that the software program has no longer caught up, yet (see extra on that, below).
- MicroSD slot, which supports as much as three2GB.
- A full USB port. You can hook up peripheral instruments to it, any suchs a USB keyboard.
Google Android OS 2.2, 1 GHz Dual ARM Cortex-A9 processor.USB 2.0 (Slave), Mini USB 2.0 (Host), three.5mm stereo headphone, Dock for HDMI/Headphone/USB (optional).16GB inner memory (expandable up to three2GB by implys of SD Card), 512MB DDR2 memory.Wi-Fi: 802.11b/g/n, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.10.1-inch TFT-LCD with LED driver system and 1024 x 600-pixel resolution. VIZIO 8-Inch Tablet with WiFi - VTAB1008
three.8 Out Of 5 Stars (115 Customer Reviews)
Reviews for VIZIO 8-Inch Tablet with WiFi - VTAB1008 (Personal Computers) I love my Vizio tv & blu-ray player, so I althought I supply their tablet a try. My daughter has an iPad, so I'll begin with pronouncing that this is now not an iPad, so I will no longer make the comparabilitys. But for the cost (I paid $329), it can be a terrific product. I now noticed that it can be now selling below $300, so I must have waited a little bit longer...
First, the hardware is solid. The match & finish is top-notch, and the slightly-rubbery texture of the case lets in for a greater grip. I love the reveal measurement... 8" in all fairness distinctive, and it is good for my hand (for e mails), for e-books, and for portability. The reveal high quality is good, and battery life appears long as well. I logged on to my gmail account, and everything synched up flawlessly (mail, photographs, contacts). But my favourite part is the built-in common faraway regulate. I can regulate not most effective my vizio television & blu-ray, but additionally the cable box, my Toshiba TV, and other audio merchandise. And it will probably categorize by means of every room in my house. Such a handy feature! I think simplest a TV firm would give you something like this.
The best dangerous thing I no longericed is some software program glitches. This could additionally be standard for a brand new product, and it hasn't afflicted me but. I assume Vizio will replace these glitches with software replaces.
Overall, I am more than pleased with this product for its value, and I intent to get another one (for my wife) if the price in reality goes down beneath $300.
Reviews for VIZIO 8-Inch Tablet with WiFi - VTAB1008 (Personal Computers) I bought this at Costco on Sunday for $329 and have spent hours and hours on it seeing that. The display decision is solely stunning. Have not been able to get video chat to work yet but haven't called support either. The highest factor about it is the dimension seeing that I love studying Kindle and library e books on a tablet and imagine the IPad and the entire 10" pills are actually too giant for this function IMHO. It's somewhat fast, as quick as my daughter's IPad, or seems to be. It takes a long time to totally charge (8hrs), and I can't appear to get widgets to work correctly either. Again, I shouldn't complain about something now not working unless as a minimum one phone call is made to the Costco Concierge carrier or Vizio assist. The IR far off keep an eye on is truly neat-- it used to be easy to set up and works very neatly with my Samsung TV and Comcast cable provider. Some folks seem to be beneath the misapprehension that it really works handiest with Vizio. To charge this is most definitely a bit premature, however I think I may give it 5 megastars if video chat worked and it failed to take goodbye to charge. The guy at Costco mentioned I could maintain it for up to ninety days and get a full refund, so here is hoping Vizio downloads a more evolved operating gadget (it now has android 2.32) so one can reinforce the charging problem and video chat inside the ninety days. If now not, I would accept as real with an Amazon tablet but provided that it's the proper size and has a video digital camera. Frankly, my daughter almost had me definite to purchase the IPad (even although I thought it used to be too giant for my goals) after I examine Apple shutting Amazon and Google out of their retailer.
Reviews for VIZIO 8-Inch Tablet with WiFi - VTAB1008 (Personal Computers) I found out the Vtab at a brick and mortar shop throughout my unsuccessful quest to discover a local retailer with an HP TouchPad still in inventory all through the fireplace sale. I work in IT for a college and might infrequently spend upwards of 60% of my week far from my desk as a result of mission meetings, committee conferences, and different meetings-for-the-sake-of-having-meetings. I don't love carrying around a laptop as a result of they're big and heavy, but seeking to follow up on electronic mail from the library on my Android telephone, because it does not make experience to go the entire means back to my place of job for the half-hour I really have free between two meetings, is a less than best expertise. Still, I used to be having a bothersome time simplyifying the drop of $500+ for a good tablet and I was once lower than impressed with the specs on the multitude of low-end Android tablets out there.
After doing some research on the VTab, I made up our minds to purchase it a quantity of days later. Sure, the VTab is now not dual core and does not have quite lots of options, but at under $300, it looked like a excellent deal. I brought it home that evening and quickly began obtaining all of my favourite apps...well, the ones on hand for it, anyway.
There are a lot of apps I use all the time that do now not exhibit up in the Android Market for the VTab. Not with the flexibility to obtain TouchDown, which I use to get admission to our Exchange e mail and calendaring system at work, just about had me repackaging the instrument and returning it that very day. Fortunately TouchDown's publisher had an immediate download hyperlink on its web page and I was once able to install using that with no issues (and the app works great).
The TouchDown experience gave me an idea: I knew that the Astro file supervisor (which I had installed on my cellphone) allowed me to again up my apps to my SD card. So I agained up the entire lot I could not set up on the tablet and transferred the ensuing apk information to the tablet by method of my laptop. Using Astro on the pill, I was ready to open and manually install the apps and all the ones I tried worked, aside from for Facebook.
I wasn't crazy concerning the customized Vizio launcher display, so I fast installed Launcher Pro because it was the simplest launcher I could to find that used to be to be had within the Market. I wasn't crazy about it either, so I was extremely satisfied to peer that Go Launcher Ex labored just advantageous after facet loading it by implys of the method now noted above.
512 MB Mmemory, four GB (2 GB user accessible), microSD reminiscence playing cards up to 32 GB..Wireless-N Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Front-facing VGA camera (30 fps)..Android 2.3 operating machine, 1 GHz Processor..1.2 pounds..8-inch LED-backlit LCD with multi-touch capabilities.. Keep leisure freedom at your fingertips with the 8-inch VIZIO Tablet (VTAB1008), which ships films, TV shows, and track in a thin, ultra-light design. Access tons of of hundreds of apps from the Android Market, and easily multi-task between browser and apps. Connect to your wireless community by approach of ultra-fast Wireless-N Wi-Fi (802.11n) and even use the pill as a common far off regulate with the built-in IR blaster.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 10.1-Inch Tablet (Dock Sold Separately)
four.1 Out Of 5 Stars (672 Customer Reviews)
Reviews for ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 10.1-Inch Tablet (Dock Sold Separately) (Personal Computers) I am a earlier proprietor of the Archos a hundred and one, which was once a good pill all over its time, but as time goes by using..it became gradual and multitasking on it was once a drag so I offered it on ebay and saved the cash for my subsequent pill purchase. Then I heard about this tablet and I was anxiously awaiting its US release. I was probably the most lucky ones who have been in a position to grab one on Amazon on release day(April 26th). I acquired my package by means of OnTrac on the twenty seventh. I opened my package and tried it out for about an hour earlier than determining to do the OTA update. A few individuals on the xda discussion board said that they've bricked their Asus TFs because of the update so I was hesitant. However, the entire lot went neatly for me and it was once updated within 5 minutes.
-First thing first. Sorry, no iOS vs Android comparability right here. If you're seeming at this item, you SHOULD already know the advantages and draw backs for both OS.
-The reveal is AMAZING!! Viewing angle is nice. High resolution IPS LED LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass for the win.
-Only $399. $200 lower than the Xoom. $100 not up to the iPad 2. $50 less than the Acer Iconia a500. With equal or higher hardware/features. You make the decision.
-Android 3.0 is nice. Very easy usage. Very open-ended. Customizable to the max. True multitasking; with as many apps working within the historical past as the CPU can handle. Asus included some unique widgets and apps. Games run superbly without a lag. I am new to Honeycomb, and I am enjoying it lots.
-Asus integrated a roll of numbers on the android digital keyboard.
Reviews for ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 10.1-Inch Tablet (Dock Sold Separately) (Personal Computers) I was lucky enough to get up early nowadays and go to Memory Express in Edmonton they usually had one. Stores acquired a restricted amount of pills and they were all offered out within hours, including here on Amazon. I've been taking part in with this thing for hours now and up to now I've simplest had nice experiences with it.
The major function for me is the far flung desktop: you may access your PC, whether it is a Mac or a PC, if they're each related to your house wi-fi connection. You can keep an eye on your PC from anyplace and use all of its features. I watched a HD movie and labored on MS Word medical medical doctors, everything went smoothly.
The tablet doesn't weigh much for its dimension and the IPS reveal is superb, it can be the same display used on the iPad 2. I'm no lengthyer a person who needs to buy products made by way of only one brand.
Reviews for ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 10.1-Inch Tablet (Dock Sold Separately) (Personal Computers) I was once one of the vital fortunate view on the stroke of midnight on April twenty sixth, was once ready to get my order in on Amazon. I simply acquired my pill tonight by implys of Amazon Prime.
I've been on Android for the explanation that original T-Mobile G1 released, and have owned an iPad considering the fact that September of los angelesst yr, so somewhat awhile on both. This is my first ownership expertise of a Honeycomb three.0 pill.
Software clever, there could be no lengthyer that much I can add in relation to what differents have not already stated. It's VERY fresh coming from iOS, to actually not be watching pages and pages of needless icons. The now notifications are ABSOLUTELY candy (i.e. useful!). The app quick get proper of entry to with monitorshots provides to an awfully desktop-esque experience, however with the navigability of a tablet UI.
Most factors run very smooth, conventional of all the standard Tegra 2 instruments. Speakers are incredibly loud, and there are in actuality 2 of them (stereo). Screen is actually attractive (IPS).
If you are deep in Google services and merchandise, this type ofs Gmail, Picasa, Youtube, Docs, and so on. Honeycomb is a godsend. I actually have nearly 20gb's of pictures in Picasa, and after one account setup, EVERY SINGLE PICTURE synced. Pretty a lot all my cloud files and surroundingss synced. From Chrome bookmarks to medical health practitioners to picturegraphs.... it seriously is a breath of contemporary air to have factors "just work", without the use of one factor like iTunes.
Granted, if you may be not a Googler like me, it won't be AS really useful, however that's to now not say it's still not a perfect device.
It additionally costs FAST as hell. My iPad takes on reasonable 6 hours to move from 0% to a hundred percent. I actually haven't accomplished a full discharge on the Asus, however it went from 7% to one hundred percent in a little underneath 2 hrs. That's insane.
The now not so nice, each the entrance and rear digicam seem barely sub-par so far as clarity goes. Very usable, however now not great. My simplest real grievance is the "tightness" of the development. I completely don't mind the plastic. It's mild, grippy, sturdy, and seems nice. However, alongside the bezel where the plastic seems to satisfy the glass, the Transformer tends to creak. Nothing worth subject, but it might be nice for a tool that's principally a slab of glass to "sound" strong in your hand.
