four.2 Out Of 5 Stars (185 Customer Reviews)
Reviews for ASUS Eee Slate EP121-1A010M 12.1-Inch Tablet PC (Personal Computers) I suppose the EP121 is one of the highest home windows tablet to this level. It's neatly designed and operates lovely neatly. I plan to use these devices at work right thru shopper meetings and presentations.
What I liked:
- It's Windows 7 so we will use it in a corp environment. Clients need us to use iPads however compatibility, security, and flash support simply isn't there yet.
- It already comes with the keyboard and stand. Please factor that in with the fee.
- Has bluetooth and some of the ports I predict to use.
- The screen is a nice size so that you may be able to demo utilitys or slide desks on it to a small team.
- The unit isn't heavy so which you can hand it around to people.
What I do not like:
- Windows 7 contact interface is not as just right as other contact interfaces. Hopefully this will probably give a lift to over time
- The price of the ep121 will most certainly make it a non-mainstream instrument.
- If they sold this with out the keyboard, I could use one I already have and retailer money
- Like the opposite reviewer said, a finger print reader would rock.
Who will have to purchase it:
- Those that desire a pill experience AND the flexibility to run home windows 7 utilitys.
- Those that wish to use a pill in a corporate atmosphere, as this tablet must meet safety requirements.
Who shouldn't buy it:
People that want to principally surf the web, devour media information, play games, and so forth., should believe more value-effective choices available (ipads, android tablets, and so forth.).
Eee Slate vs iPad:
I would not say that these gadgets compete with every different. The iPad is great for consuming content material while I see the Eee Slate being more of a productivity device. Coupled with a keyboard, the Eee Slate is mainly a pc. When Asus unencumbers some android pills, we'll see how smartly they stack up.
Reviews for ASUS Eee Slate EP121-1A011M 12.1-Inch Tablet PC (Personal Computers) I acquired my palms on this method not too lengthy ago and I did play with it. I must say I am impressed with it
Pros:
+ Price embodys Bluetooth KeyBoard and a folio as neatly. $100 worth at Apple rates. Doesn't include a docking choice.
+ Comes with a digitizer Pen, which is very useful for hand written words and likewise helps overcome one of the most UI related considerations with Win 7 (tiny icons, and so forth.)
+ The boot time on this technique (Press the power howeverton --> pc is usable) is awesome: 18-19 sec (no initial POST Messages). That is quicker than iPad shutdown --> laptop.
+ Media Playback is superb whether it's H.264 or VC1 content. And the CPU does it so easily
+ Thermal: Excellent. After hours of use (media playback, streaming, and so forth), the bottom floor is pretty normal temperature. Absolutely no heat. Vents are the top and bottom center. Fan exists, however may be very quiet. Design is excellent.
+ 12.1" panel size and 1280x800 decision are a good mixture. Text on the screen looks the correct dimension.
+ 2.

Reviews for Apple iPad (first generation) MB292LL/A Tablet (16GB, Wifi) (Personal Computers) Having spent some critical time with Apple's iPad because its unlock, it can be straightforward to see how the instrument can stir up so a lot pleasure and so a lot disappointment from all different attitudes with so much less middle-ground. People are most likely to either like it or hate it. I hope I can shed some light on the small print of real-world iPad usage, now not just blind declares like several non-iPad customers appear to be screaming. I'll element the entire benefits and the caveats of owning the device I've found so far, with hopes that you'll get a transparent picture of whether or not or now not the iPad in level of fact is for you.

HP TouchPad Wi-Fi 32 GB 9.7-Inch Tablet Computer

Reviews for HP TouchPad Wi-Fi 16 GB 9.7-Inch Tablet Computer (Personal Computers)
Reviews for HP TouchPad Wi-Fi three2 GB 9.7-Inch Tablet Computer (Personal Computers) Bought this from Amazon, as always bought it quick. My again ground is I've owned an IPAD and asus windows tablet. After trying them out I was still unsatisfied with the products. It used to ben't offering me what I used to be searching for. I needed a pill with excellent battery existence, good aps, expertise the 'real' internet, do some entertainment (videos, games, track), preserve myself connected with social media, and eventually do some note taking for work/ everyday things. Looking on the evaluations and the ads I gave the HP Touchpad a go.
The Breakdown in accordance with just a few days exp:
OS: A +
HP OS is almost definitely the best point in this tablet.
Synergy makes the complete multitasking a breezy and preserves everything in synch. The complete course of to get related along with your e mail, facebook, and calendar is simple.
You can simply do a lot of factors out of the field, no want to go attempting to find apps.
Reviews for HP TouchPad Wi-Fi 32 GB 9.7-Inch Tablet Computer (Personal Computers) I'm an admitted mac guy, I actually have the iPhone 4, iPad, Macbook Pro, and many others...
I need to share my support now with the HP TouchPad. The internetOS three.0 is in reality lovely wonderful. I didn't suppose it might make so much of a distinction in the utilization of a tablet, however it is distinguished, and here is why:
1) The integration of so many mainstream products and repairs used as of late. (they almost definitely have some fancy term for this concept)
2) Flash performs well
3) Services missing on the iPad like Grooveshark and Amazon's cloud tune all work.
First, the services:
On my TouchPad, I setup my
Email (yahoo, google, and microsoft exchange)
Skype
Dropbox
AIM
LinkedIn
Facebook
(there have been differents, however I do not use snapfish, and photobucket, and so on... even a "find differents")
I love this integration of the entirese mainstream services and merchandise! It's in level of fact suave.
While my iPad seems very app-centric, webOS 3.0 really feels more like "the matrix has you". It takes your on-line world and places it into the tablet. I love that. All of those website onlines I often have interaction with get glued collectively seamlessly so I feel like I'm "jacked in".
A main energy of the TouchPad is the on-line performance that is now not going to work on the iPad. For instance, I ran Amazon's cloud track player and Grooveshark simply high-quality (awesome!).
On the down side, the apps are slim, but trust me, they are going to be coming quick and furious over the subsequent yr, like a modern-age gold rush. As any individual who has ported over my C++ sport engine and product ( atPeace ) to TouchPad from IOS, I can inform you that it was lovely easy, and others will definitely observe. This version 1 of the product is the shutst any tablet is to competing with Apple, developers will soon be pouring over.
